Worth to be shared

When Mr Lee became Prime Minister in 1959, he pulled together a strong team of leaders from diverse backgrounds. He ensured that positions in government were filled by the most capable people, rather than those with connections or money.
Mr Lee took severe measures to curb corruption, a root cause of inequality. He put in place tough laws to investigate those suspected of corruption and heavy penalties for those caught taking bribes. By ensuring that our government and economy stayed honest, accountable and free of corruption, Mr Lee assured investors and companies that Singapore was the right place for their investments. Companies from around the world came, and continue to come to Singapore – creating opportunities for employment, learning and growth for Singaporeans. - part of President Tony Tan's eulogy.

There's an article I read posted by Calvin Cheng online;

"I tell you what freedom is.
Freedom is being able to walk on the streets unmolested in the wee hours in the morning, to be able to leave one’s door open and not fear that one would be burgled. Freedom is the woman who can ride buses and trains alone; freedom is not having to avoid certain subway stations after night falls. Freedom is knowing our children can go to school without fear of drugs, or being mowed down by some insane person with a gun. Freedom is knowing that we are not bound by our class, our race, our religion, and we can excel for the individuals that we are – the freedom to accomplish. Freedom is living in one of the least corrupt societies in the world, knowing that our ability to get things done is not going to be limited by our ability to pay someone. Freedom is fresh air and clean streets, because nothing is more inimical to our liberty of movement than being trapped at home because of suffocating smog.
These are the freedoms that Singaporeans have, freedoms that were built on the vision and hard work of Lee Kuan Yew, our first Prime Minister. And we have all of these, these liberties, whilst also being one of the richest countries in the world."

Such freedom and free of corruption country, I believe everyone wants it, I want it :)

A person can really be this great and caring

I think everyone no matter if rich or even average, we should practice frugality. Sometime it's not about being stingy or thrifty, its value the things.. keeping, using it well that's how things will turn out in good condition state and will have the possibility of being repair and reuse..

Something worth learning from the late Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, he is frugality with his personal life and to his country.. I salute to him that he keeps in mind that the money government used to developed better are from the citizen therefore its apply wisely and with great outcome..
I admire much about Mr. Lee's act of keeping a country clean, safe and encourage a honest government for his people.. I do not know but I do really hope Malaysia government share the same method and learning as Mr. Lee Kuan Yew.. I do wish Malaysia grow and success..
From news- Minister Mr. Shanmugam said: "Mr. Lee's exercise shorts for example - for 17 years he wore the same shorts. And when it tore, he patched it up, or his wife patched it up for him. That is the man. And he was very careful with Government money in the same way because it is your money."

"He told me, 'Don't spend all your time staying purely in the law. You can do much more for your country. If everyone just stayed outside, who is going to work in the public service. You should serve the people in a broader way’. And he told me ‘you can do it. As a minister, you can make a bigger difference to the lives of the people,'" recounted Mr Shanmugam.
Tomorrow will be the state funeral for former first prime minister Mr. Lee Kuan Yew.. Until today the que to pay respect to Mr. Lee at the Parliament House is still going on.. I hope from the people working and volunteering to the people queing are all cooperating well to make the process smooth and safe there, and most important be thankful and keeping the place clean as that's what Mr. Lee love about, Clean and Green Singapore..

Once again.. Mr. Lee, rest in peace and be united happily with your dearest wife.. *salute

I still have to repeat that I seriously love the love story of Mr. Lee and his wife.. watching how sweet the both of them are, really brings tears to my eyes.. Especially the part I watch Mr. Lee uses his hand to kiss his beloved wife farewell.. sobs...........
From the video, I also like the part Mr. Lee said 'eat less, enough sleep, exercise and got to have passion for work', I need store the image of Mr. Lee saying this into my head, maybe it will trigger me further.. :)
"Important thing in my life? My family and my country.. At the end of the day what have I got? Just a successful Singapore.. What have I given up? My life.."

Video of Tribute to Lee Kuan Yew

Earlier today I watched the moment that the body of late Mr. Lee Kuan Yew move to the Parliament House of Singapore. It really sadden me and I cried.

Its amazing to see the people of Singapore spend few hours at queuing to pay respect to Mr. Lee Kuan Yew.. The queue was too long to the extend that the visiting time and public transport operate for 24 hours until Saturday 8pm..

Alot of people said that they do not want to miss this chance to pay their respect and that Mr. Lee spend his life building them a successful Singapore, therefore they do not mind the long hours of que.. Much agreed!

Below I'm sharing my favorite video of Mr. Lee Kuan Yew's story.. Part 1 & Part 2

Goodbye and Thank You Mr. LKY

Today I read that the founding and former first prime minister Mr. Lee Kuan Yew have left this world at the age of 91.. Sadly I only came to know his life history and love story on this sad day.. Mr. Lee is a strict person yet caring towards his family and country.. He spend his life building and improving Singapore, not letting others to bully his country.. From third world to what a successful Singapore is today.. He believed all races should harmonies and work together as this will create a united prospers future..

Mr. Lee started high education system, turns Singapore into a city in the garden, the cleanliness, national service.. Together with his wife, they love flowers and trees.. So much that Mr. Lee had done for Singapore.. He actually worked until the end when he fell seriously ill last month.. I totally salute his passion for his country.. He don't care about luxuries, he is such a humble person..

I find it cute to know that one of the great invention to Mr. Lee was the air-conditioning.. He cannot stands heat and his room, work place temperature are always set at a cool degree.. I myself can't stand the heat too, can't leave without air-con too haha.. Also I'm surprise to read from an article that his tailor share that Mr. Lee's favorite color is Pink.. as a Pink lover myself, he have good taste :)
I notice from his photos that he actually age alot ever since his beloved wife, Kwa Geok Choo left him.. Mrs. Lee was his pillar of strength.. They are both very smart person.. I really admire their relationship, their marriage.. Mr. Lee is a workaholic, Mrs. Lee have always supported him.. They are always by each other side.. Then when the time she fell ill, it was Mr. Lee's turn to take care of her.. Talk and read to her without fail.. I cry so much reading to their story, especially his last farewell letter to his wife and from his children on their parents.. I would love to meet a husband as caring and loving as Mr. Lee..

Even though I'm not a Singaporean, after getting to know Mr. Lee's hard effort, I'm deeply touched and sadden together with the people of Singapore.. Singapore was the first country I visited for holiday with my own salary, I do love this country.. It's a stress work place, but its safe and comfortable at the same time..

Mr. Lee is a great leader, the nation's father, founding hero of Singapore, a devoted husband and father.. Mr. Lee, may you rest in peace and be united with your wife.. #thankyouleekuanyew #rememberingleekuanyew

A beautiful person may not be confident, but a happy person is always very charming

"In the vast sea of love, we drift about like little boats searching for the coast,
Some lucky people find it easily and go ashore happily,
But some people fail, lose and get disappointed time and again,
First time, second time, third time, fourth time,
Gradually, the little boat will drift forever in the boundless sea,
It no longer believes in the existence of the coast,

Actually, what the boat wants is a pier for it to berth,
One day, the boat finally found a pier that it could take shelter from,
But it hesitated, not because it didn't want to berth,
But because it no longer believed there was a pier in the world that it could berth forever,
Hence, it merely looked at the pier from afar instead of going near it,
In the end, the boat chose to continue to drift,
Just when you understand a person's kindness and merits,
you will start to feel scared and become cowardly,
The more you treasure someone, the more you dare not possess him, lest you hurt him accidentally."

"She's actually not that shrewd, sometimes she's muddle-headed and careless,
Deep down in her heart, she's weak and lacks a sense of security,
But sometimes, she can be adorable too,
She thinks she knows herself but she isn't able to see clearly,
That's why she keeps falling down and getting hurt in love."

"The moment we come into this world, we know how to hold on to happiness, reliance and security,
It's impossible for us to hold on to someone's hand forever,
But if someone is willing to hold your hand forever, do not let go easily.

You can't choose to break up, but happiness is definitely a decision,
don't despair after a break up,  Remember to break up with your unhappy self first,
Forgo the unhappy past and hold the hand that makes you happy,
This is the essence of letting it go."

I love all the quotes from this episode.. Just sharing :)

When sparks fly, it doesn't always point to the start of a romance

Some rejection couldn't maintain as friend.. I do understand how hurtful it is to continue being connected with someone you like yet couldn't be more than friends.. Its always a sad loss for me..

Some couples who breaks up may end up like strangers too.. Even though when both were good friends before.. I experienced this and sometime I do feel regretful about it.. ofcoz doesn't apply to everyone.. hehe

I ever received confession and when I slowly develop feelings but then at some point I felt scared and couldn't move forward to accept the confession.. there goes the chance~

To reject or not, how will we end up, do I want to lose this friendship: always bother me and my little brain will end up thinking so much and so far.... haha.. It's like a gamble, some turns out well with happy ending and some not.. Wishing myself advance good luck just in case for the next decision.. haha ;)

"When sparks fly, it doesn't always point to the start of a romance,
Sometimes keeping a distance and staying as a good friend can offer a more lasting companionship,
A pity this logic isn't widely understood."

多遠都要在一起

"No matter who has hurt you before,
don't give up for fear because love is infinite.
if you meet someone worth your love, go for it."

分手快乐- Let It Go, Episode 6.

"Who likes to get stranded in a vague relationship,
unable to determine his or her position,
we look forward to meeting the right person at the right time,
but we're not willing to give easily,
nor do we have the courage to go all out for love,
Hence, we start to test love because we're afraid of getting
a beautiful illusion in exchange for true feelings"

分手快乐- Let It Go, Episode 8.
